Welcome to Episode 32! Older dads Frank (56) and Carlo (57) are back after a brief hiatus. Frank's daughter, Baby Josie, is now seven and a half months old, and they kick off with a chaotic start as Carlo's arrival sends the baby into a crying fit!
In the "Book Report," the Gen X dads discuss a controversial article about parents filming their children crying for "clicks" (like the viral 'cheese challenge'). This leads to a funny debate on consent, privacy, and whether the baby advice to ask a baby's consent before changing a diaper is the ultimate parenting mistakes.
The big news in "I Was Wrong" is that Frank was actually right! Despite a recent scare and professional advice, Josie has been eating apples with no problem and has moved on to loving tomatoes and hummus as part of her baby led weaning. The episode ends with updates on Josie's developmental progress, including her new two bottom teeth and an unfortunate incident where she "thoroughly peed" on Frank, a classic moment of dad life that offers a reality check on being a dad. Tune in for honest fatherhood advice and trademark humor in life as they continue raising kids!

[Frank Cerio] (0:00 - 0:07)
So there's these videos of, and you may have seen some of them, there'll be this cute kid and he'll be in a high chair and just crying.
[Carlo Russo] (0:07 - 0:07)
Okay.
[Frank Cerio] (0:08 - 1:29)
And then all of a sudden you'll see out of frame will fly in a piece of American cheese that will just hit their head and they just stop. They're confused. It just shocks them.
Yeah. And they stop crying. And you know, and the parents laugh.
And I like that. I think it's fine. I know exactly what you're talking about.
Now, of course, this is a very thoughtful columnist and expressing to her, her disdain for these people and how they're using their children without their consent and this and that. Okay. It's one of those things that I feel like someday, and this is one of the points that the writer makes is someday that kid's going to see that video and how are they going to feel?
And I think if you've parented them the right way, they're going to laugh because it's funny. But if you convince them that they should be offended by anything and everything that people do to them, then they're going to want to take you to court and sue for emancipation at 12 years old. This is the Gray Hair and Day Care Podcast with a combined age of 111 years and a combined IQ right in that same range.
Your hosts, Frank Serio and Carlo Russo. Welcome back. Here we are.
Here we are. We're back. It feels like it's been a really long time and it has been.
[Carlo Russo] (1:29 - 1:30)
Oh, has it?
[Frank Cerio] (1:30 - 1:47)
I had a little bit of a cold, so we had to delay the recording a couple of weeks. We got lots of fun things to cover. Yeah.
And as always, I am Frank Serio. I am 56 years old and my little girl is seven and a half months old.
[Carlo Russo] (1:47 - 1:48)
That's crazy.
[Frank Cerio] (1:48 - 1:50)
It keeps, it keeps rolling on.
[Carlo Russo] (1:51 - 1:51)
Crazy.
[Frank Cerio] (1:52 - 2:05)
And I feel really bad because I was, I've been looking forward to you coming over. And last time she was a little. Hot of it.
