I don't want to ask for help or rely on others; I will figure out how to do, build, or create whatever I want myself. While that's good, I don't want my daughter to think that way. I want her to know it's okay to rely on people, and if you have the right people in your life, they want to help you. We all need help. You have to be a whole person. This is part of the challenge of being an Older dad and giving good Fatherhood advice!
