Welcome back to Gray Hair & Daycare, the parenting podcast for dads who remember life before the internet but are now navigating life with a Gen Beta baby. In this episode, Frank and Carlo prove that raising kids at a combined age of 111 is mostly about survival, humor in life, and very sore knees.

Frank dives into "what just happened," detailing a high-stakes dress rehearsal for dad life: Baby Josie’s first flight and a whirlwind trip to Disney’s Magic Kingdom. From "North Side Leans" in stroller parking to the exhaustion of carrying a 16-pound person through Orlando's humidity, this is the raw fatherhood advice you didn't know you needed.

Whether you're looking for parenting comedy, baby advice on air pressure ear-popping, or just some solid dad humor about a dog named Watson peeing on the Christmas tree, we’ve got it all. We also touch on the "I Was Wrong" segment, where Frank admits he might have actually been a decent dad in his younger years—even if Chris from third grade is the only one who thinks so.

Tune in for relatable parent advice, fatherhood tips for the "Older and Wiser" crowd, and a look at why parenting today involves 17 meetings for a school move while our Gen X parents just told us "good luck in Zimbabwe".

[Frank Cerio] (29:33 - 30:20)
So we we literally packed up, did the same trip, except this. What we did was there's a there's a hotel right in the terminal and Orlando Airport. Oh, so it's like you walk through and you see it when you come through Terminal A.

So we get there and we stayed at that hotel. So we went the day before the cruise left. So we don't have to worry.

Yeah, get there. So we stayed there and met up with Uncle David and Auntie Gabe. It was the five of you.

This was going to be the five of us. Yeah. So on the on the cruise, we had a joining cabin.

Yeah. Got to the hotel, got settled, and we got there a little earlier. Kelly had some work that she needed to do.

And I was rolling around the terminal to the shops with baby Josie to relax a little bit.

[Carlo Russo] (30:20 - 30:22)
What's the temperature at this point? Like it's in like 70s.

[Frank Cerio] (30:22 - 30:37)
It was nice. It was like, yeah, comfortable 70s, 80. Oh, yeah.

So it was it was nice. I was surprised by having one more person. Sixteen pound person was an exhaust.

[Carlo Russo] (30:37 - 30:39)
How it changes everything.

[Frank Cerio] (30:39 - 30:45)
Because what adds to it is we flew on JetBlue and JetBlue is in the new terminal.

[Carlo Russo] (30:45 - 30:46)
Not a sponsor.

[Frank Cerio] (30:46 - 31:19)
Not a sponsor. I would love them to be right. But that terminal is like way far away from the main terminal where the hotel is.

So now it's like you got like a giant suitcase, a pretty big suitcase to carry on two personal items, the stroller bag. And it's like it's just brutal. Like I am exhausted.

By the time we're getting there, it is so much. And I'm used to and it's not like it's not like Kelly's walking around with a pair.

[Carlo Russo] (31:20 - 31:22)
Yeah. She's got it all too.

[Frank Cerio] (31:22 - 31:22)
Right.

[Carlo Russo] (31:23 - 31:30)
But it's just so there was reminded just by you saying that that's how you're going to be for the next 100 years going to the beach.

[Frank Cerio] (31:31 - 31:31)
Yeah.

[Carlo Russo] (31:31 - 31:32)
Fifty million things that you're in.

[Frank Cerio] (31:32 - 32:57)
I was like, my God. So so you're trying to you're trying to get to your day. You got all this stuff.
